Tony started his music lessons in the 2nd grade and picked up the guitar in 8th grade. His first guitar mentor was the late Niloy Da; he later took lessons from Balam bhai. Tony’s first band in Dhaka was Koprophillia, where he played from 1997 to 2002. Inspired by the likes of John Petrucci, Adrian Smith, Ritchie Blackmore, Mark Knopfler, Marty Friedman and others, his passion for playing guitar is still running strong. Besides Kronedge, he is engaged in a Bengali cover band, Jotil, in the greater Washington, D.C. area. At present, he plays an Ibanez S570 aided by his favorite Marshall tube amp.
